Step 1 Choose a Photo
Want to get the best photos of your creations?
Check out our tips below
- Focus: Make sure the photo is focused properly, so it’s crisp, clear and not blurry.
- Lighting: Good lighting shows off all the colors and textures. Beware of shadows!
- Background: Choose a neutral background that shows off your look the most.
- Cropping: Make sure you crop the photo so it really focuses on the look and not the background.
- Watermark: If you choose to include a watermark, make sure it is subtle and doesn’t cover any important areas of the image.
Step 2 – Write about your Creation
- Send at least 3-4 high res photos of your cake, cupcakes, cookies etc.
- If your photo is larger than 20 MB, please send it via mail
- Include a few worthy thoughts about your design. Tell us about your inspiration, a technique used, products and tools you recommend on, recipe, tutorial and the event where it was served. If you’re not sure where to start with this, you can see examples of what other bakers have shared in any of the cake posts on the blog.
- Include a list of all vendors to be listed in the credits. Their business name and website address.
